Galaxy WatchHi , I am a tennis player , lately i purchased the Galaxy watch 8 and while playing extensive Tennis my heart rate will not go beyond 130 BPM on the watch. I used to play with the Apple watch ultra and always reached 160 + BPM . i gave all permisions to sensors and done all that needs to be done so the watch can read the heart rate all the time. Its not a one off , at least 4 times i played with it and every time its the same. Will it never read the heart rate correctly in tennis?

Galaxy WatchIs it only in the tennis exercise or any workout? How about when not tracking a workout and simply exerting yourself? In any case, if you feel this is not normal, I suggest putting in an error report https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Send-Feedback/ba-p/3001692
It's best to put in the report within 15 minutes of completion of your tennis session, so that the information is still contained in the logs. The watch log is embedded in the phone log, and the logs are collected automatically when you start the error report.
Is it at all possible that your heart has become more efficient due to the exercise and, thus, does not reach that particular zone?

Galaxy WatchI tried running with it and it seemed to record the Heart rate more accurately. Tennis is the issue.
I wish i was in that such a shape that the hreat rate will not increase over 130 ....but its not the case. ๐
Thanks for replying...

Galaxy WatchThat's extremely odd. The heart rate sensor is the heart rate sensor. It should show accurate measurements for all activities. The only thing I can think of is that if your racket hand is the same as the one on which you use the watch, if the watch is just a squidge loose, the impact of hitting the ball may push it slightly off kilter - enough to mess up the measurement.

Galaxy WatchGemini says its most common in Tennis due to the grip of the hand and the hit that might distract the readings. I didnt have this in my APple watch but it says that the apple knows how to screen the interference better than others.

Galaxy WatchPerhaps if you switch hands for the watch when you play tennis you might get a more accurate reading. You can keep the orientation as it is for the sake of convenience, or switch the orientation for readability each time you switch wrists. I would try it on the other arm at least once to see if the reading changes.
