After updating my watch 4 classic to the new One UI 8 I have noticed these issues listed below. Does anyone here notice them too?

Galaxy WatchThe watch 4 is aging and so is it's battery. An update takes a lot of battery power and may have coincidentally put the final nail in the battery's life. When did you get the update? After an update the watch has to relearn your usage patterns and battery uptime, even in a healthy battery. If it's been more than two weeks, then I'd say the battery is on its way out. Run a diagnostic on the watch. The watch battery *technically* can be replaced; but it's very hard to find a shop willing to do it, would likely cost nearly the same as buying a new watch, and it could compromise the water seal once the case is opened.

Galaxy WatchIf your battery is actually dying that's going to be your only option. Before I broke down and obtained a watch 7 (carrier offered a free one), I dealt with the fact that I had to charge my watch when I woke up and about an hour prior to bedtime. I also carried around a keychain, watch-specific power pack. Then it gradually kept having to be charged more often. I didn't want to switch because the new watches do not come in the rose color - ultimately I had to. I kept running diagnostics on the battery and it kept showing up as "good" - until it didn't. I blamed it on the update to WearOS 5, as it started failing right after that. Then I realized that because updates take a lot of resources, between the download, the file swapping the reboot, it was enough to put the final strain on the battery.

Galaxy WatchThe promised fix for the update is taking forever. Samsung should be doing better. The watch is useless now except as a basic watch.

Galaxy WatchWell, if you think it can be done in an instant without breaking anything else in the process, I invite you to program the fixes.

Galaxy WatchThey did do bug testing. OneUI8 had a few beta tests on the watches. No developer can account for every contingency on every device, especially when they don't know what user actions or downloads may cause conflicts. I, and many others, have had no issues with the update. I'd say more didn't than did.
