I have a GW7 (SM-L305U) that is patched to current (incl. 11/1/24 security patches) that is exhibiting some strange issues with Alarm configurations / settings.

1. If I create an alarm on the watch using the default tone ('Morning Star' at this time), it creates successfully.
1a. If I then attempt to change the 'Alarm sound' for the saved alarm, each time I try, the process appears to crash, and defaults back to the alarm selection screen. (losing any changes)

2. If I attempt to enter an alarm from scratch, and attempt to choose a different tone while creating the alarm, the process appears to crash, and resets back to the beginning - losing the entry completely.

I have added many custom notification tones to the watch previously, in .mp3 and .wav format, that I use for various other things.

Is there a flaw in the Alarms app relating to custom sounds, or a limitation in regards to custom sounds, or is there problem with the app in general that's just causing it to crash?

Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your concern with the alarm app crashing when setting an alarm using a custom tone. In order to better assist you are you creating the alarm directly from your watch or creating it on the phone?

I am creating the alarm on the watch.  It is not allowing me to change the alarm tone as indicated in the post of the originator (which I am not).

It is good to see a reply after the originator set this up two weeks ago....TNX

Thank you for that information.  I would recommend submitting an error report as this will allow our team of engineers to get a hands-on look at the symptoms you are experiencing: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/How-to-Submit-an-Error-Report/ba-p/3001692
