Feel certain this is a common question, but can't find the answer.
Watch6. woke up this AM with a message on my phone. "Reset your watch - Disconnect and reset to re-pair your watch to your phone."
Not real excited since I think reset is essentially a factory reset. Any ideas on the cause of the reset? Is reset a 'factory reset?'

Thanks, I found I can backup my watch using the Wearable app on my phone. That's the good news. On opening the Wearable app, it's a blank screen. Nothing I do changes that. Any way to back up my watch from my watch?
I see the reset removes EVERYTHING that is NOT OEM. I have watchmaker on my phone. will that data be removed? I'm uncertain what data is actually on my watch I will lose.

Galaxy WatchYou should already have a backup. Your watch backs up nightly to the phone (and the cloud, if you turned on that option). After resetting your watch you will be able to restore your backup. Also, if I'm not mistaken, a backup is made when you hit the reset option so that you are not left with no backup to restore.
On the issue of your wear app having a blank screen, that's one I haven't heard before. Have you rebooted the phone and the issue persists? Try clearing the app cache an see if that returns the app to a functional state. If not, you will have to uninstall and reinstall the app.

Galaxy WatchI just go the watch last night. Today I set it up and pair it with my Galaxy S21 5G. I have it on for about 4 hours and got like 5 notifications saying "Reset Your Watch Disconnect & Reset to re-pair your watch with your phone. "
