Galaxy WatchWell, you could also just always switch wrists while working out without changing the orientation. As I understand it, though, if you want the sensor readings for workouts to be accurate, you need to adjust the orientation. As I mentioned, it takes a bit to get used to, but it's not hard to manipulate the buttons with your opposing thumb if you were to change the orientation and wear it that way normally. It's up to you which you consider more inconvenient, changing the orientation or having the button interfere with your workouts. You can try it for a couple of workouts and see if works for you. Samsung may never get around to giving the button a control to disable it. My opinion is that it should automatically disable during a workout, or when a mode is set. You are not the first person I've seen complain about this.

Galaxy WatchWhat would happen if you changed the orientation of the watch and reversed the buttons for your workouts? For instance, instead of setting it to left wrist/buttons on right. Switch it to left wrist/buttons on left and then turn your watch around. That way you shouldn't be accidentally hitting the button. You could switch it back after your workout or just learn to manipulate the buttons with your right thumb and leave it that way.
watch settings/general/orientation.

Galaxy WatchWear the watch on your ankle. Samsung deliberatly designed this button to be pressed constantly during workouts.
