I'm tearing my hair out because the Galaxy Watch, and probably other smart devices you cannot to your phone hog the audio CODEC settings. I don't want to be stuck on SBC, but apparently, my watch and any other Bluetooth devices will automatically switch is to the lower quality Bluetooth CODEC!
And this is why I hate Bluetooth! Not only is it fairly crappy technology for audio with it's standard compression of all sound, it doesn't allow for devices to connect on their preferred CODEC, such as LDAC or AptX HD, etc.! Instead, you think you're getting a sweet device with sweet sound only to have some other device coopt your listening experience because it isn't compatible with better technology!
Samsung! Please! Stop limiting your devices to SBC! You can't even use your Samsung Seamless CODEC when paired with your watches or other devices that stream audio over Bluetooth!
Or at least give us something better! Like WiFi streaming for earbuds and headphones! These offer so much more bandwidth and sound quality!
