There's no way to measure your e.C gThere's no way to measure your ECG on the Samsung Health app on your phone. You have to do it on your watch.

How would you expect to measure your ECG on a device that doesn't have the sensors? The ECG and HR measurement are functions of the watch only.

No that you should be able to start it on you're phone like you can with heart rate!!!

Why? The measurement is taken by the watch sensors which requires your finger to be touching the button. The ECG uses a different app and a different approach to measurement. There would be no point to starting it from the phone - doesn't even seem practical.

You can't start heart rate from your phone, what you can do is set whether it is measured continuously or periodically, and you do that from the Wear app, not the health app.  The only thing you can do in the health app is see the measurement tracking.

I get the tech side, but Iโ€™m looking at it from a UX perspective. When I make these suggestions, Iโ€™m not just thinking about how you or I use the watch, but how it could be better for everyone

Even if a feature doesn't seem useful to you personally, plenty of others agree that more flexibility is a win. Itโ€™s worth being open to different ways people use their tech instead of just dismissing it

The reason that it can't be started from the phone is because it's not practical, as the measurement resides solely on the watch and can only be measured by the watch.  It could, perhaps be done if it did not rely on the the actual physical touching of your finger to the sensor button, or if the sensor button resided on the phone.

Plenty of others agree?  Where is your proof of that?  Yours is the very first request I've ever seen for enabling this.  I don't even see any "me too's" on this post, or any other affirmation that anyone else is interested. So, are the plenty of others your family members?

Number one someone liked the post

And that's not true, because there's an option to do it. With the heart rate, there 's an option to do it for a body compulsion. And for all other measurements

One like out of 82 views - from a brand new user who has no posts or comments and apparently just joined yesterday.  It even has low interest for people to even look at the post.

Body composition is not heart rate measurement, and there is no option in the HR tile to start from the phone in the health app, only to configure the measurement setting.  The ECG is a totally different function and is accessed from another app entirely - the Health Monitor app.  This app can ONLY be downloaded and accessed by someone who has a Samsung watch paired with a Samsung phone.  The ECG measurement is not available to anyone who does not have a Samsung phone paired with a Samsung watch.  So, if you have a Galaxy watch paired with, say, a Motorola phone, you will not be able to get this measurement because you will not have the companion app.
