I went for a run/ walk/ crawl today on my normal 10K/6.22-6.25 mile route. I wanted to see if others are experiencing are inaccurate distance calculations as well as pace calculations.

I've been doing this for awhile so I know this route really well. First, in the picture if you zoom in on the yellow fire hydrant, that is 1 mile in my route. Apple watch consistently states one mile right at or just a couple feet before or after it and that's where I start my run. I took the photo about 10 feet from when my watch said 1 mile. Way, way off. Oh and yes I've verified the hydrant is indeed 1 mile one mile by both google maps distance drawing and I drove it.
Additionally, my route is 6.22-6.25 miles. The variation is because sometimes I need to go into the street because of blocked sidewalks or avoiding other things. The run recorded it as 6.59 miles. So it's of by 0.37 to 0.34 miles off. Basically 1/3 mile off. I could understand some minor distance like 1/10 of a mile but 1/3?
Is anyone else noticing this inaccuracy with their runs/walks?
Also, the floors climbed is way off. I've done 9 so far today yet it only registered 2.

I'll never rely on smart watches for distance or BP until probably another 10 years

I think the pin point accuracy on devices are bad. For example, My Find. Or other device searches, In My experience can never give a current 100percent accurate location

Here's a follow up. I bought a GW6 classic yesterday. I did not update it to the watch ui6. It is still on watch ui 5. I took it out for a 5K today. The GW6 Classic was pretty spot on. It told me one mile right at where I expect to hear it. Also when I was finished I logged 3.10 miles exactly. I usually log 3.1- 3.15 depending on slight variations. My heart rate was much closer to what I'm used to seeing. Also pace and steps are about right. Floors climbed is still off though.
So. Question is. It's the GW7 Ultra bad OR is it watch ui 6?

It appears the GW7U is now consistently off at the same point. It's about .03 off from the 1 mile marker of the fire hydrant which I've verified using Google maps measure distance, driving it, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and GW6C. Not sure if this qualifies for a warranty replacement or not?
The heart rate, cadence and all that was much better than usual so that appears to have gotten better.

So I had a theory and decided to test it. I updated my GW6C to the latest Watch ui 6. I then took it on my 5k route. While the other day on ui 5 it was spot on for distance measuring, today it was off. .02 at the one mile marker. Another oddity was when I got to my end point where it would have read 3.1 miles or a little higher it was under so I went and walked a little more to get my 3.1. when I checked Samsung health is recording 3.1 which I wanted to see but know this is off from knowing my route. I really did probably 3.15-17. I checked Strava and it shows the distance I was thinking with the extra walking I did to get to 3.1 by Samsung health measurement. In conclusion, it appears watch ui 6 is flawed.
Picture was a few feet after I heard one mile. My watch showed 1.02 at the mile marker.
