My watch kept saying connection failed.

Which watch and  which phone?  Was the watch ever connected to the phone, or is it a new connection?

When you ran through the setup with the wearable app did it install correctly or did it error out?

It said connection failed and it said afterward try again. Sometimes it says reset your watch and try again.

Have you ever had the watch connected to any other phone, or is this a new connection for both the phone and watch?  In either case, in the settings on the watch, scroll down to "general" and then scroll to "transfer watch to new phone".  See how that goes.
