Galaxy WatchHello, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern with the battery drain when your watch and phone are separated.
You are correct in that the drainage is most likely due to the devices looking for each other.
For future instances, you can try turning off the Bluetooth on your phone when away from the watch. If you need access to Bluetooth for other devices, be sure to open the Bluetooth settings to stop the phone from trying to connect to the watch. Restarting the phone may also help to stop it from searching for the watch.
For additional troubleshooting for battery drain on the phone, check out the solution thread here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S22/Alarming-battery-drain-on-S22/m-p/2803465
Unfortunately, there is not an option to prevent the battery on the watch from draining remotely.
If you would like troubleshooting for battery drainage on the watch, you can find that here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-Watch/Galaxy-watch-6-series-battery-drain-on-Bluetooth-an... (Troubleshooting and service information is the same for Galaxy Watch 4, 5, and 6 series)
