Galaxy WatchSince the Watch update on 12/19/2025 I have been having problems with workouts on my Samsung Watch6. I will stop a workout and then wait a few minutes and try to start a new different workout, but it goes back to the results for the first workout. The only way I've found to get to a new workout is to restart my phone. When I googled it, AI said that users were using Google Fit instead. Really?? This is the fix?

Galaxy WatchDo you end one workout before attempting to start another? Waiting a few minutes will just pause your workout until you resume. It takes longer than a few minutes to time out and stop, and will usually give you a notification asking if you are finished. You shouldn't have to restart your phone, but restarting the app wouldn't be the worst idea. Open the recent apps screen and slide the health app off the screen to close it.

Galaxy WatchI am using my watch to start and stop the workout. An example is that I completed a Pilates workout and tapped Finish and saw the results on my watch. Then 45 minutes later I went for a walk and on my watch tapped Walking and the results from the Pilates workout came up. I could not get the Walking workout to start until I turned off my watch and turned it back on.

Galaxy WatchAs @LongHiker said, restarting the phone should have no bearing on how the watch reacts to the workouts, unless it's a sync issue between the watch and phone.
Have you ever cleared the cache partition on the watch? I think that maybe that would be worthwhile to do - especially if you just had an update. FWIW, when I complete a workout on my watch, not only do I end it properly, I also swipe the tile away and go back to the watch face (not wait for the screen to blank). Of course, I also have never tried to start one workout after the other. I don't do more than one workout in a day. Have you tried starting the second workout from the phone, just to see if the behavior is the same?

Galaxy Watch@Elet Since the UI 8 update on the watch, it will continue to show the results of a workout after you end it until you dismiss that display. I just press the bottom watch button to dismiss the display.

Galaxy WatchThis hasn't worked for me. I now start my workout on my phone, tapping on start on watch. This is the only work-around I've found except for restarting my watch.

Galaxy Watch@Elet Is the workout started and stopped on your watch?
Seems weird that restarting your phone would have any impact at all on the watch workouts.

Galaxy WatchYes, its been very frustrating. The only work-around I've found is opening the new workout on my phone.
