Galaxy S25OK, I do not know why you are not getting your sounds consistently. Have you run a diagnostic on your phone to see if your speakers are functioning properly? Did this start after an update? Did you clear the phone cache after the update? Do you clear your phone cache on a regular basis? Leftover temporary files in the cache can cause issue such as this. If you have cleared your cache and it's till not behaving properly, put in an error report (preferably immediately after a notification with no sound.
Did you say this is only happening with the messaging app? Is it happening with only once contact or does it randomly not sound for any text message? Are you using Samsung Messages or Google Messages? Samsung is sunsetting the messaging app, so it may have some erratic behavior, as they are not doing much to maintain it. Switch to Google temporarily to test it (you can run both messaging apps concurrently, but one has to be made the default). If you switch to Google and the behavior goes back to normal, then you will have to make a decision on whether to keep using Google (which works), or Samsung (which is inconsistent, but you like better).
