Visual voicemail app not available on unlocked phone

I can't find the visual voicemail app on the samsung store on my s25 ultra. My friend has it on his s24 ultra

I have always used unlocked phones on Verizon network without any problems with visual voicemail. The error pops up if your on wifi. Turn wifi off and use mobile data to set it up.

I just got my unlocked S25U yesterday and I'm running an AT&T/Firstnet sim.

Google play was only showing me VVM version 4.15.0.10239 and said it was incompatible with my SM-S938U1.  

I was able to find an APK for version 4.18.0.10242 on apkmirror.com

I was able to side load it, then had to go thru the process of allowing restricted access to SMS for whatever reason... but finally got it to work. 

Kind of a pita process to go thru, but it works now.

Hi Eric, I have an S25 and could not get ATT and Samsungs VVM to play well together. Like everyone else, my wifi had to be off to get it to load and when it was loaded it would take a dump and crash when ever I was on my wifi. I resorted to a 3rd party app that costs $5 a month. I had the ATT VVM but ever since I tried to get Samsungs VVM to work I can no longer access the ATT VVM through the Playstore. I took your advice and have side loaded it but I have arrived at the SMS restricted  part you described. Do you have any suggestions how to get past this? Thank you in advance. Craig

@Members_89jU2zt I use Google Voice. It is free and works great. When you get a voicemail, you get a transcript and an email as well as the recording. 

It's easy to setup and use.

Samsung releases another disaster. The s25 Ultra isn't "ultra" at all. I wish I had kept the S24. This device should be seamless and near perfection especially given the cost. IT SHOULD BE A GOOD PHONE FIRST. I IT doesn't matter how good the camera is if I cant obtain voice messages quickly and easily! I go to the play store to download my carriers visual voice mail app (AT&T) and it says the app is not compatible with this device!!! Crazy. Samsung , GET IT TOGETHER !

Why doesn't the phone app have visual voice mail? My iPhone 15 did. Kind of annoying to have to go to the T-Mobile app for visual voicemail. Where you can't read text. My iPhone automatically transcribed as well. I really want to give android a chance because of the customizable nature but these should be must haves.

The Visual Voicemail application is non-functional on my Galaxy S25 Ultra; could you advise on troubleshooting steps? Additionally, I am unable to locate the Samsung text messaging application.

I chatted Support, not available on the 25U 1TB. Lame, I only buy new phone for more storage and go to Samsung over carrier for this reason. I don't know why such an important feature like voicemail would be disabled, esp for their highest cost phone.

Not sure what "support" you chatted, likely your carriers.  Visual Voicemail is a Carrier enabled service.  If you do not have it on your device, it is because your carrier disabled it.  Carriers like to play the game where unlocked devices do not get the same features as carrier locked devices, as an incentive to get the locked devices.
