Every time I go into my settings, the sync toggle is off. No matter if I change it to 2 hours, or 4 hours or daily, every time I leave that screen and go back and check the sync toggle is off. Also, when I go into settings and accounts Twitter is greyed out and I can't enable it there either.
Try a hard reset by touching & holding the X icon until you get an applet popup. Then at the top right of the applet you'll see a small circle with an "I" in it, click on that, choose storage. Now clear both the cache and data. This will reset X and you'll have to login again. Then see if it can be set the way you like.
Yes my auto synch data toggle stays on. But X on mine & just like yours, shows synch now grayed out. But that is like a few other as well. Are you getting updates or timely notifications?
I don't think so as synch is supposed to work between profiles and systems, like this a user cannot directly interact with as like a stand alone app for social media kinds. It may be that social media apps already can be given permissions to access one's devices to interact between the device user and the social media network. There's no need to synch with it.
