In the last few weeks, my speaker (not the ear one) started sounding very distorted at all volumes. It buzzes and has static, even when just receiving notifications. I've cleaned it, reset to factory settings, etc and no change. Anybody else have this issue?

Could of gone bad or has some issue run the diagnostic test as @Mujibar suggested

I see where you have stated that you have performed a few troubleshooting steps and I would also recommend that you run the diagnostic like suggested by Mujibar. You can also try your device in Safe Mode to ensure that a third party app is not causing the issue: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10003495

If you have already performed a factory data reset (https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002030) on your device and the issue is still present with your speaker then I would suggest that you have a Certified Technician take a look at your device.
