Not receiving notifications from Samsung messages on my Watch 6

I recently upgraded from galaxy s22 to s25 plus and have a watch6. I've downloaded Samsung message but I'm not getting the notifications on my watch. I've gone through all settings for phone, watch and app. All permissions are allowed, the app is set as default and notification on. My watch is connected and I've disconnect and reconnected. I've already powered off and on. My watch is giving notifications for other apps, just not texts received from Samsung messages. What in the world am I missing?

Did you go into the notification settings in the wear app and tap the section "App notifications" to select which apps may and may not send notifications to the watch?  Make sure messages is enabled.  You can have the notifications enabled everywhere else, but you will not get notifications on the watch if that is not enabled.

Hey galaxychic! Welcome to the Community! Thanks so much for posting, I am also seeing this on my Watch 6 connected to S24 Ultra.

Please look in the Wearables app>Watch Settings>Apps. Scroll down to Messages.

How many apps do you show with the name "Messages"?

Please describe the Messages app(s) you see available.

The only messaging app listed is Google messages. However, when I go to notifications, I've disabled Google messages and allowed Samsung messages. This is all within the watch settings

Thank you for confirming. This is also what I am seeing. Notifications from contacts do not work, but some short code notifications come through. I have reached out to Samsung regarding the matter.

Please submit feedback through the Wearables app. Tap the menu button (four squares icon on the bottom)>Then tap the three dots in the top corner>Select Settings>Contact Us. Then select Send Feedback.  This will pull data logs from your Wearables app and plug-in and provide the information to Samsung.

I will follow back up here with any information I receive.
