Samsung cloud error. Couldn't back up the data.

Hello all 

 
New s25 ultra and while it mainly works fine I'm trying to sync contacts from my phone to my Galaxy book and need to first get them to the cloud by backing them up with my phone. 
 
The problem is I cannot back up my contacts or really any data to the Samsung cloud 
 
I received the error: couldnt back up this data. Samsung cloud didn't respond. 
 
I raised an incident with support and so far they have not been able to resolve. 
 
What I've done so far: 
 
The phone is fully updated. 
 
I am not over the storage limit only using a few MB
 
Cleared app data and cache of Samsung cloud app 
 
Logged out and back in of Samsung account 
 
Tried on Wi-Fi and mobile 
 
Saved contacts to SIM card Rather than just trying to upload the contact saved to Google
 
Restarted phone wiped cache partition 
 
Force quit the app. Wiped cache again
 
Tried with enhanced data protection on or off 
 
Tried selecting different options in the backup toggling certain apps on and off etc 
 
Reset network settings 
 
I think that's it. Trying to avoid a full factory reset as I need to keep my authenticators for work and don't really have anywhere else to put them.

It is assumed that you will charge overnight - backups normally take place between 1-3 a.m.  They may back up at other times, but I haven't seen it. I think the phone has to have been inactive for 3 hours or more, which is why they do it in the wee hours. If you are concerned about overcharging the battery, there are protections against that. Turn on battery protection in the battery settings.  See what happens if you charge overnight tonight.

if this is truly an issues with s25 phones regardless ultra plus or just s25  then samsung needs to figure out why not working

when i got phone back on 5th at and t  did smart switch afterwards old phone to new i remember i put  in samsung account on phone it backup i forgot password when i log in computer change it

 

even when the guy next day at store next day besides removing sim card that just put in night before at store and activated esim

 

it was still saying last backup 5th it wasn't until 21st when i decided to manually backup samsung could data<-i thought that perhaps i need to turn on wifi auto roaming thing<-that didn't help

 

maybe because this is a new phone and i just got it back on 5th of last month automatically backup samsung cloud on my phone that is seems only work 1 time when set it up but afterwards won't do it automatically 24 hours on its own and samsung needs to fixed this asap 

i don't know if this doing it at and t phones or other carries btw

 

seems alot of complaints of this situation on s25 phones recently shouldn't have to manually back up samsung cloud meh

for some odd reason it started to work automatically last few days on my phone don't know how it happen it did 1:26 this afternoon

i think started working mon or tues night out of the blue
