I just updated my phone this week and went to take a video at 10x and the whole video is extremely wobbly if I turn off image stabilization it works normally. Have anyone else had this issue? Unsure if it's a camera issue or software issue.

It's probably best to check how it behaves on each camera individually. I understand it moves the lens but in that case the field of view (FOV) of each camera should have a different outcome for a given movement. The lowest FOV should have the least disturbance for a given movement. In a similar way the absolute sensor resolution probably has an effect and, ironically, the lowest resolution sensor should have the maximum disturbance from a given movement and that's the telephoto cameras which also has the smallest FOV making it most susceptible to IS disturbance. It will probably be much less obvious with the 200M ultra-wide camera that has the lowest FOV and the highest resolution. If that's true in your case you might try adjusting your choice of camera, framing and zoom level to prefer wider FOV and higher resolution to find a solution that suits you. It may also differ based on frame size and frame rate so it might differ when shooting 8k, UHQ or FHD. It's hard to judge which would be better since it will depend on how much rotation angle is in the wobble, but it's easy to test all with each camera. You can also consider it's evidence that you need to get a tripod and tripod mount for your phone. They can be found fairly cheaply, they're just not as portable the phone in your hand it but your filming situations may make them suitable. Putting that aside, your message implies it used to be fine and only started after the latest update. While the above points will be worth pursuing you should probably try to make a direct association between chosen camera/zoom level and FOV. If you can limit the behavior to a limited set of camera resolutions and FOVs then you can probably make a case to Samsung. My S25U was updated this week and I just checked handheld video on all cameras there was some lack of stability at higher frame rate and capture resolution but it was more like shake than wobble which I would consider avoiding using lower frame rate and resolution or trying a tripod.

I use my phone to film a lot of videos and never had this issue, it seems to be just the telephoto lens, I recorded a video of how it looks but unsure where to share it too. But it basically makes the whole camera sorta look like it's randomly shifting around it doesn't seem like it's just an issue needing something to stand it on or balance. I only noticed it after updating to the newest patch. If I turn off stabilization it looks fine and doesn't do this, I heard some people had issues with there camera so unsure, all my cameras have always made shaking or rattling sounds since my s21, someone told me it's because when the camera off it isn't powered so the lens can move a bit around.

I can't reproduce it with the 1 June 2025 update and all apps up-to-date on my S25U. None of my cameras on recent S22U &S25U ever made any rattling noise but regardless of my phone not being my 5x as expensive mirrorless camera and lenses (think DSLR if you are not familiar with mirrorless) I would consider the phone cameras precision instruments and attempt to avoid any handling that causes the lenses to rattle. That happening over long periods may leave the lenses permanently out of place. To be productive, if it works with IS off then I'd shoot with IS off as a workaround/solution. Other possibilities are the scene optimizer and/or tracking autofocus (both camera settings) and/or auto-framing (video camera option). Each might cause the scene to drift and it would be more pronounced with a high zoom level (smaller field of view) and a definite subject. There's always the Super Steady mode but the maximum zoom is 2x, looks like it uses one of the wide angle cameras which is understandable for automated steadying of video. Good luck.

I had the same problem recently when I was at a concert and tried to record a video at 10x zoom. The video became very wobbly, but it worked fine after I turned off image stabilization.
