I use "show palm" as it delays taking the photo for 2 seconds. With my s-pen, the picture is taken immediately when the button is pushed. Therefore if your hand is still visible when you press the button, your hand with the S Pen will be in the picture. Using the "show palm" with the two second delay lets you put your hand in the proper place before the picture is taken.
There's no battery in the s25 ultra s pen.only 1% of the customers used the feature so samsung got rid of it. You could try an old s pen. Change settings to allow multiple s pen usage? Might work maybe
That is the very reason why I cancelled my preorder this year and kept the S24 Ultra. The alternative is voice shutter control by saying something like "capture". That can be turned on and off in camera settings.
You can buy a third party Bluetooth remote. They're pretty cheap; I bought one from Amazon that's the size of a keychain and it only cost $6. It probably has better range than the S-Pen, and it's more easily concealed in your hand during a photo.
