Routine to keep screen unlocked

I bought a Bluetooth receiver for when I ride my motorcycle so that I can listen to apps on my S25.

I set up a routine to keep the screen unlocked when the phone is connected to that BT device.

I see that the routine is running, but the screen will lock after the predetermined time (5 minutes).

Additional information. I have biometrics set up as well as a PIN for locking.

Thoughts?

Try adding your Bluetooth receiver to extended unlock
Phone settings
Lock screen and AOD
Extend unlock
Add trusted device
Select your Bluetooth receiver

Your welcome.  I have my address and my Car listed and hardly never have to unlock my device unless I'm away from the car or house

Do you want the screen unlocked or on? Because even if the screen times out and goes off, double tap to wake should turn it back on without having to unlock (unless your ride is more than 4 hours, or it disconnected from the receiver at any time. Extend unlock will keep your phone unlocked for up to 4 hours unless the phone is disconnected from the trigger device or you miss a call or notification. After 4 hours or missed notification you will have to unlock with biometircs. After a disconnect or 72 hours, you will have to unlock with your pin/password/pattern.

Extend unlock will not unlock your device initially when the trigger device is detected - your phone must already be unlocked.

Why not just use ear buds? That way, if you have to take a pit stop, you can remain connected.

I think I would prefer to have the screen on, but if it times out after 4 hours without needing to unlock I think I could live with that. If I have gloves on, the finger print biometric will not work nor will the face recognition.

Nothing can be done about the four hour unlock limit, it's a security measure. The only way to keep it unlocked would be to disable all security all the time, which I don't think you want to do. It shouldn't need to remain unlocked to listen to media, and if you put the media contol widget or now bar on your lock screen, you can control the media without unlocking. Keeping the screen on uses a tremendous amount of battery, and may subject your phone to overheating, and the maximum the control will allow is a half hour, but it can be reactivated in the routine.

So noted. Thank you. Another alternative.
