I have 2 S25 phones and one of them has not updated since 12 2024 patch.
I check weekly. The phone in question overheated and shutdown 28 days after purchase. Samsung repaired and appears like all is working except no software updates.
Is it a factory unlocked phone or was it purchased locked to a carrier? If it was a carrier model and was carrier unlocked, did you switch carriers? The phone may be looking for the old carrier's update servers, and you will need a SIM card from that carrier (working or non-working) to get the update. If it is a factory unlocked phone, and you have a computer, you will have to download Smart Switch for computer, connect your phone and look for an update through Smart Switch. If you are near a uBreakiFix location, they should be able to update it for you if you do not have a computer.

It is an unlocked phone bought new as unlocked. My other is a Verizon s25. The phone reports that it checked for updates. The android security patch reads 12 of 2024 date. My Verizon s25 has a security patch level of 8/1/2025
When did you get the unlocked device? On the unlocked device, it is possible if an unlocked unopened brand new S25 still had the initial security patch for the S25 models as like when they were first sold on January 22 this year, that being Dec 2024. But if a repair was initiated it very likely that the device was reset to fix the phone, and then it was updated to the latest available security patch that also included major UI 7 updates that came out in April.
