Yes there is a way. First hop over to XDA where you'll find tutorials and the programs youll need like odin3 and frija. You'll need to install using odin, the FKR or XAA region download with frija. Thats about as much as i can explain here but yes there is definitely a way without root. 🖖🏻
Sounds like you bought an unlocked phone but it was previously from Verizon. After 30 days of being paid, Verizon unlocks the phone however it will still have all the Verizon software. It's best to buy directly from Samsung.
You mean they purchased a locked phone. Since unlocked devices don't come with carrier software.

Locked? No. Programed for Verizon? Yes. There's a difference. It was Programed to be on Verizon. But Verizon has unlocked it now so it could be used on other carriers but it still has the Verizon program.
If it has Verizon software installed it was a Locked Model which Verizon can Carrier unlock this is different from a Unlocked device which come directly from Samsung and doesn't include Carrier software.

For the average person, the term unlocked means it can be used on any carrier. Most people don't know the technical difference between carrier unlocked or unlocked device. But that's why I say it's best to buy directly from Samsung.
Thanks Everyone, I appreciate the feedback. The phone works perfectly fine on my Network and came in perfect condition. However, I just don't like Verizon Logo whenever I reset and all the bloatware that goes with it. I will try to return.
