Galaxy S25Is this for real: just set up my S25+, and I only see 3 notification icons at the top left plus a dot, and 4 status icons on the right (speaker, WiFi, signal, battery). When I swipe down, I see I have 7 notifications and 7 status icons. I can NEVER tell if my alarm, Bluetooth, or NFC is ON. What gives Samsung? Will you fix this? I finally retired my beloved S20+, and this is enough for me to dump the S25+ for something that isn't going backwards.
Am I the only one experiencing this? Am I missing something?

Galaxy S25They removed status icons so now there's just blank space. You have no idea if your alarm is activated or not ๐คก๐คก๐คก
Many people have permanent notifications showing information in a very compact way in the status bar. Now we're f*ed. Plus I need to know if there is something urgent waiting when I pick up my phone for doing something. I have I life, it's not a fidget toy: I'm not playing with the notification drawer all day long.
I also own a Tab S9....... I can't know what notifications I have with a 20 cm status bar. Incredible. They must all use iPhones at Samsung's, that's the only explanation.

Galaxy S25The status icons have only been removed from the primary status bar. If you pull down the screen, you will see them all on the secondary status bar.
As far as the persistent notifications go, download Good Lock's NotiStar and in the settings is the option to "set app unable to clear notifications". Turn it on, tap it and select which apps you want persistent notifications for. The notifications will stay there unless/until you swipe them away. They will remain even if you tap the "clear" icon for all the other notifications. I set it to keep my weather notification, system UI, malware scanner and modes & routines. You can add any app for which you want the notification to remain. Using NotiStar has the added advantage of preserving/archiving your notifications in case you miss one or accidentally cleared it.

Galaxy S25I simply do not understand how people claim they are missing notifications because there are only three notification icons. If you see even one notification icon, do you not pull down your screen to read or dismiss the notification and, therefore, see any others that may be there? Or do you just sit around waiting for *the* icon that will tell you the notification you want has arrived? If you have a notification sound set, do you not hear it? If you have an app or apps for which you need to know a notification came in immediately, create a routine to alert you when those notifications come in. Wear an ear bud, because your only option in routines would be to read those notifications out loud.
As for the status bar icons, they are all available on the secondary status bar when you pull down the top of the screen. There is not much one needs to see all the time anyway. The important ones show on the primary status bar - connectivity, battery, time.

Galaxy S25It's mounted. I use it for maps and music. It's no different than looking at the dash to check my speed.
Do you have anything pertinent to add to the thread?
