Only 3 notifications and 4 status icons at the top?

Is this for real: just set up my S25+, and I only see 3 notification icons at the top left plus a dot, and 4 status icons on the right (speaker, WiFi, signal, battery). When I swipe down, I see I have 7 notifications and 7 status icons. I can NEVER tell if my alarm, Bluetooth, or NFC is ON. What gives Samsung? Will you fix this? I finally retired my beloved S20+, and this is enough for me to dump the S25+ for something that isn't going backwards.

Am I the only one experiencing this? Am I missing something?

Unfortunately, that's the way they decided this was going to go. Maybe it will be a customization option in an updated GoodLock module like QuickStar. In the meantime, you can and should send feedback through the support tab in the members app to register your displeasure.

Sorry! I'm reading and replying one at a time, and I thought this had the reddit style message tree. I hope I'm not sounding rude, so thank you for the advice. I've messaged support to ask them to consider being able to turn the hidden notification/status icon thingy off.

And I know you are just trying to help, but this is a clear step backwards in usability. Checking for a specific notification or status icon should not be a two-handed job. It's just a very unnecessary distraction.

You are missing the point. When I'm driving, how do I know if the Bluetooth is on? Is it hidden or is it off, who knows! šŸ¤· I guess it depends on when you turned your Bluetooth on in relation to other things? Samsung trying to get cute with something very few people asked for.

You were referring to the notification icons, not the status icons. Good Lock's Quick star module has a setting for the visibility of the indicator icons and you can turn on/off the ones you want. I don't know if QuickStar has been updated for the new UI,but when it is, it should remain the same. As for things like BT and WiFi, indicator or not, I always keep them on (but I do like to see the indicator). And when I'm driving, if my phone is connected to the car, I know it's on.

Quick Star still doesn't show the icons that are set to on unless you pull down the shade.

Did you turn on the sliders shown? Does it still have them?

Was Quickstar updated for the new UI? The old (current) version may not work the same way in OneUI7

It says the latest version was updated for OneUI 7 support in the changelog. Might just have to wait a few months for all these bugs to be sorted.
