One UI 8 Release Date and Feedback

Hello everyone, I am pleased to say I received the One UI 8.0 update on Christmas Eve. The update so far is great, solid performance, faster app loading times. The only gripe is small glitches to the screen when watching some YouTube videos and weird YouTube setup push messages. The lockscreen editing is my favourite of all, you can now add your favorite apps for quick access.

A banking app for easy payments, The Torchlight, A music app, Scan QR. I just can't wait for Samsung Pay to be a global app where they can partner with a local bank and make shopping at stores, eating at restaurants less stressful than pulling out bank cards and giving them your pin. You can imagine how great that would be in a city like  London, United Kingdom catching the train or bus. Even in Chicago, United States  or Lagos, Nigeria.

Downsides to the update the weird glitch now it doesnt impact performance but it makes you wonder if this would be my last manual update, YouTube wants to connect to my phone. If it was for them to pay me for views I'd be glad to give them my bank account details which should be a prompt at sign up to ensure their not running some kind of modern day slave ship.

Thank you developers for your hard work. We just don't want to have the whole experience ruined because we are looking forward to new features.

Hi Samsung has not announced a specific release date for One UI 8 on the S25 Ultra yet. Keep checking Settings  Software update for availability.

So excited for the One UI 8 update! Been following all the beta news and fixes  definitely can’t wait to see it on my phone soon. Looks like a great step up for Galaxy users!

Hi Samsung began rolling out One UI 8 (Android 16) to the Galaxy S25 series starting around September 2025 so you may start seeing it on your S25 Ultra if you have not already rollout timing varies by region carrier.
