New battery icon is absolutely awful - One UI 7 / April patch update

New battery icon is way too big / fat in the latest beta release. Please change it back asap.

Update: if beta users complained that previous icon was too small to read how about giving us an option to choose or make the actual pill smaller a bit?

The main problem with this battery display change and frankly, most of this update is the lack of option to revert back or customize the display to user preference.

It's too small and really hard to read the number if the battery life is anywhere between 25 and 75.  black on gray plus partial white - too much going on. Just give us the number.

At least give users an option. I'm ok with it, if you like it, but I cannot see the percentage number now, or tell how low the battery is. It just looks like an oval in the top right of the phone.

Could we not give users an option for which one they prefer to display?  For contrast / eyesight reasons, some may prefer one over the other.  I like the more minimal ##% and don't want a little moon phase icon persistently in the upper left of my screen - I keep glancing and thinking it is a smudge or dirt.

Worst update yet.  Not only do I have this giant battery percentage icon on my status bar (yes, I know I can completely remove it) but it also messed with the order of my routines on the cover widget and now won't let me reorder them.  Definitely a fan of opting into changes like this.  The fact that so many people have already made the effort to voice their complaints about this says a lot...

I have a Samsung s25 that I recently upgraded to and as stated in the title, the battery percentage indicator font is just too small for me. Really all I need is the number and not the indicator bar graphically showing the amount of charge. If you could make the font at least the same size as the time that is showing on the top far left that would suffice.

Yep, it's AWFUL!

I have taken to using a battery widget instead and removed it from my status bar.

It's the only thing on Ui7 that absolutely detest.

I send feedback once a week to express my displeasure with it.

I wish everyone would do the same.
