New S25 Ultra - Notifications not working

Howdy!

Received my new S25 Ultra yesterday, set it up via SmartSwitch. Everything transferred correctly but none of my notifications are working. 

Zero.

I have gone though forum postings that other people have posted looking for solutions and most of those has been DND or a routine turned on blocking notifications. 

Things I've checked:

• Do Not Disturb is TURNED OFF.
• No Modes or Routines are running (there aren't any setup).
• Sound is on.
• Vibrate is on.
• No icons or app badges show up on the top.
• The apps that I am testing with I have confirmed that notifications are turned on.
• All the options are selected for the notification options (Lock Screen, App icon badge, Notification pop-up).
• This happens if the phone is sleeping or awake.
• My old phone is still using Wi-Fi and notifications work fine on that one (other than messages and phone cause that's tied to the SIM). Turning off the old phone and waiting a few minutes and trying on the new phone, same thing happens.
• If I open the offending app, I can see the unread messages.

Other than wiping the phone, skipping the SmartSwitch and starting from scratch, I am not sure how to move forward.

Can anyone tell me how to get the life360 app notification on the s25 ultra? I know how to have different notifications fir different apps but it seems like the s25 no longer has the life360 sound anymore ???

I just got my new phone, but I'm having an issue where notifications aren't popping up when they should be. Discord, Gmail, messages, lots of other apps. I thought my friends had all stopped talking to me all at once until I went in and saw I had at least 3 missed messages on each app, and no notification popup for any of them. I've checked to make sure my do not disturb is off, notifications are allowed, and even un-installed and reinstalled all the apps in question. After reinstalling, I now get some notifications, but not all. Like I'll get a discord notification about one message, go in, and see I actually had three messages from different people but only the first one notified me. Same for emails and texts. I've heard bad things about the smart switch app, which I had used to swap from my s20 note to the s25 U, but since I sent in the old phone for trade in, I can't swap back and factory reset the 25 like other posts mention.

This is a Samsung pinned thread regarding this issue, so they are working on that fix along with many others. They will more than likely all be addressed with the next software update (or even in the next security update as they always have software fixes included in them). Since some the previous Galaxy phones are eligible for the UI 7.0 already on the S25, I am thinking that all of the fixes will be included across those eligible devices as well and the S25 series will be updated at the same time (just thinking out loud here) as to not break up the UI 7.0 into separately functioning OSes for each device.

I have tried all of that and still not getting notification sounds for text messages. THis is very annoying. I am beginning to hate the new samsung. I never had this problem before. I hate the google messaging. I have always had a Samsung, but this Galaxy 25 not having sound for notifications is becoming a deal breaker. This needs fixed asap.

That didn't change anything for me. The individual apps have the ability to have notifications/ sound/ vibrations, but no way to choose the notification sound.

I haven't traded my 25 ultra in yet, but this is very annoying having no different sound for apps. I am missing emails, etc, because I can't hear a special sound. This is the first samsung phone I've ever been disappointed with. Not sure what to trade it for!

I have the option to change the notifications sound in Samsung E-mail, Gmail, and outlook.  For the notification categories option to appear, you do have to enable it within the phones, Notifications | Advanced settings screen, as mentioned by justtryingtohelp.  This is with an S25 Ultra, FYI

This helped me turn on more details in specific apps. I'm still not seeing a way to individualize sounds for specific apps.
