Modes and routine issue with not turning off NFC when exiting the wallet app

Im having a issue when NFC doesn't turn off when I exit the wallet app. It stays on.

Samsung Wallet or Google Wallet?  In either case, you can create a routine to turn on NFC when you open the wallet and turn it off when you exit the wallet.  Generally speaking, Samsung Wallet does a good job of only turning NFC on when the wallet is in use and then turning it off when you exit.  It's Google Wallet that seems to want NFC to always be on.

I already have automation when I open Samsung wallet or Google wallet to turn on nfc and off nfc when I exit the app.

You can try this tip if it helps.

If you have a issue where your NFC doesn't turn off, then in this tip it will help keep it off until Samsung fixes the NFC issue.

Go to Settings > connection > NFC and contactless payments (tap it, not the toggle). For your default wallet select None.

Hopefully this fixes the NFC issue for the time being.

Except that when you open Google Wallet, it automatically turns NFC on and *does not* turn it off again the way Samsung Wallet does.  You either have to do it manually or by routine - routine is the easiest, set it and forget it way.  If one doesn't use either wallet and just wants the NFC to be off all the time they can just turn it off by the quick panel icon.  It will stay off until some app uses it or they turn it on manually.
