I was travelling for the past few weeks. However, when approaching the end of my trip, I suddenly found out that some of my pictures and videos had disappeared, like one whole week of pictures and videos. I am quite sure that I did not delete them, and I could not find them in the trash as well. These photos are not backed up yet. Is there anything I can do to recover them, or any software? Or can Samsung help me to recover them? These are my precious photos taken during the trip. Appreciate any suggestions
If the photos and videos were not saved on an external device or backed up they are more than likely gone. Is there any chance they were saved in another folder, or maybe in the secure folder either of which have not been checked?
How much storage is free and available on your phone? If your storage is full, the device will likely save new files by overwriting older ones (and then the older ones are gone for good). A USB-C flash drive is indispensable in those cases: not only to maintain free storage on the phone, but as a convenient backup. It's unfortunate that you lost so many photos... unless they backed up to Google Photos, they are likely gone.
Have you checked Google Photos to see if they are there? They should be syncing/backing up to Google automatically when connected to wi-fi or mobile data. Even when traveling, you must have connected to wi-fi at some point.
