Location icon constantly keeps popping up

I have noticed that on this latest update the location icon keeps popping up in the status bar more than what it should be it didn't do that before this update is anyone experiencing the same issue

The persistent location indicator seems to be an issue with the S25 series. I have an S23U and it's only visible when an app accesses location in the background.

If you simply want to get rid of the icon, you can download Good Lock. Then install QuickStar from within Good Lock. You can turn various indicators on or off.

But that only turn off the location icon
It won't stop that app from using it and it will keep draining the battery

OP didn't say there was battery drain, only that the icon didn't go away.

When the location icon is on, it means an app is using location services. Location services are one of the main reasons for battery drain.

I've chatted with S25 users who have the persistent location indicator and no detrimental battery drain. Until OP says battery drain is the problem, I won't assume that it is.

Okay, then. I have an S25U, and I don't have this problem. But to fix the problem, you have to find which app is using it. Turning off the icon won't fix the problem; it will only disable the icon.

I understand that. But we don't yet know whether OP is experiencing battery drain due to location services.

I compared the apps running with my father's s24 and they are the same, so there shouldn't be an issue with whatever is running and the icon persistently being there. I did not have it until yesterday and I did not change any settings or installed other apps, so maybe it is a bug in one of the updates from the apps and I just need tl wait. I have no issues with my batery at all, that is for sure. Thanks a lot for your advice!

Glad you were able to figure it out. It does indeed seem to be an issue with the S25 series. Perhaps Samsung will roll out a hotfix for the location indicator or include one in a future update.

when do you guys think samsung is going to fixed location icon sometime this month or next month perhaps?
