I have autism and OCD. The latest Samsung update automatically changed my keyboard settings, which took a while to get set up the way I needed in the first place. I'm very upset. They basically require a keyboard icon on the navigation bar in addition to not having the keyboard icon in the toolbar - as they did before. Then they require use of Google keyboard for additional features. For me that is overwhelming. This isn't just a functionality or feature concern, this is an accessibility concern. I should not be relegated to external tools or phone reformatting that are meant for people who are hearing impaired because of regressive functionality. It was already an adjustment getting a new phone and getting used to that change. Then once I am used to that change they automatically update and change my keyboard settings. This has never happened before and I've had Samsung for many years (as change is not something that is easy for me). I need my routines and settings to be consistent. I have to do Doordash to make any sort of income right now so not knowing automatically where to put my thumb to respond to messages or communicate with support is extremely inconvenient and dangerous. I don't know what can be done to help me because it won't go back the way it was before the update. I already called and talked to support for almost 40 minutes. That really didn't help. This was a really stupid update to approve I can't even do a reset of the default settings because that would erase all of the other changes with wording preferences that I've made. This isn't okay and I would really like to get this feedback to whoever is responsible. There's more I can say to express my frustration but this is the gist. I need to be able to click one button to vocally type out messages and I also need the call transcript feature to work again so that I can have phone conversations written out, like with visual voicemail but live. These are supposed to be the perks of having a new phone - new features that are more helpful not less. Why does there need to be an extra icon or button on my navigation bar that I'm not going to use and is in a place where it can be toggled accidentally? It makes no sense. I want it fixed so it doesn't have to be there and I can click the space bar (or one button in a place that is easy for my thumb to reach) to talk out my messages.

What does this button look like? Mine wasn't reset, so I'm just curious. I've been frustrated with the Samsung keyboard because it isn't autocorrecting things that it should, like putting apostrophes where they belong and capitalizing "I" automatically. I have to use the AI feature to autocorrect everything for me after I'm done, and it is annoying because sometimes it says what I write is "inappropriate" even though it isn't. And what does it matter if I write inappropriate stuff? It's my phone and my text messages. Basically, anything political, religious, or negative in any way, they won't assist with it.
When I had Apple, I had no issues with the keyboard; now I have all these issues.
Hopefully, they'll get it together.
