Galaxy S25This space could allow them to customize and personalize their home screen and color style.
I would like to have that instead.

Galaxy S25How is locking individual apps more convenient than turning on kids mode each time you allow your young'uns to use your device? It's an icon tap on or off.

Galaxy S25Not only are app locks for ordinary apps insanely ridiculous, it would be the app developers' responsibility to code that into their apps. Apps that need security, such as banking apps, already have app locks on them. Stop trying to get Samsung to do an app developer's job. They gave you the secure folder to put apps into if you don't want prying eyes to get at.
If you are in the habit of lending your device to people who don't know any better than to mess with apps, I suggest you buy a cheap tablet and let them have at it. Parents and siblings? If you can't trust them, don't hand them your phone.
