Galaxy S25I just got my S25 Ultra and have finished transferring data from my old S22 Ultra with Smart Switch. However, in my (Google) Messages app, any earlier messages that had a single image and an accompanying text now no longer shows the caption. New texts that are sent after the switch were not affected.
I've tried:
Clearing data of the Messages app and restarting it
Using the Samsung Account backup/restore feature to back up messages on the old S22U, then restore on the S25U
Restarting the phone

Galaxy S25I just did a full transfer with the SMS Backup &Restore app by SyncTech (assuming that's what you referred to). That didn't help: it looks like the app simply marked all the messages with images as duplicates, and their captions still didn't show up.
Edit: Actually, after clearing data of the Google Messages app again, it worked! Thank you so much!
