Galaxy S25I get a large number of spam calls every day. At least 20 and for some reason, at least half of those can leave voicemail. If I don't check my voicemail, I get notifications letting me know that I have VM all day, including the middle of the night.
I got this phone a few days ago. It was also doing it on my S23, but it really started bothering me when I got the S25.
Here is what I have done so far.
Open Phone App / Settings /Voicemail / Click on Notifications / Silent instead of Alert
======
Turned off wifi calling.
======
Notifications- set vm to off.
=====
I let me VM fill up. Now it still gives me alerts telling me I have VM.
======
I called T MObile and told them I wanted to completely disable VM forever. Now, if I call from another phone, I still get my greeting and can leave a VM. But if I want to listen it, it tells me it's not setup.
======
The DO NOT CALL list is currently not operating due to the govt shutdown.
======
I could not find a clear cache or data for VM, just the phones.
======
Visual VM- notifications are not turned on. Other options are grayed out.
======
Went into Call Services and turned off everything. Cleared cache and data.
======
Cleared cache and data under call settings
========
Tried Robokiller which didn't do anything.
======
Spam is coming from all kinds of spoofed numbers so blocking them won't help.
======
I can't block numbers that aren't in my contacts because I have a teenager and her school might call or there might be some other sort of emergency.

Galaxy S25I tried robokiller on my S23 and it did nothing to help. The spam is spoofing all kinds of numbers, so it's impossible to block them because they will just start using another number.
I really don't want a new number as I have had this one for 20 years, but I am wits end and might consider it if I can get one with the same area code.

Galaxy S25Make sure you have notification categories turned on. Go to the app info for the phone app and tap on notifications, then notification categories. You will see that you cannot turn off the. Notifications. However, you can silence them. Tap in the voicemail category, tap on sound, and choose silent in the sound picker. Then tap lock screen and choose don't show notifications and make sure vibration is off. You will likely still get notifications, but you won't hear them. Tell T-Mobile that you want your voicemailbox completely disabled. There is no way to prevent anyone from leaving a voicemail except to not have a VM box at all.
