How to stop "MediaOngoingActivity" notification?

Has anyone figured out how to stop this notification from firing yet?

Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra - US Market

Samsung One UI Version 7.0

Android Version 15

Samsung DeX Mode activated

Triggers a new notification alert anytime media begins playing

I don't know much, but did you turn bubble chat off? Or pop up style notifications?

I'm sure I have pop-up notifications enabled, but those are functioning as expected. This one is not a sticky notification and doesn't arrive via pop-up. It just appears in my notification shade and reappears after clearing it when new media starts playing. Thanks for your help!

Seems to be related to using Dex to let you know there is media activity on your PC as you have ported your device activity to it. Does that show on your phone?

It doesn't appear on my phone's notification shade, but in the Samsung DeX notifcation section. I am using a Samsung Galaxy DeX Station to connect my phone to my television for the PC-like experience and don't own a personal computer. Thank you for your help!

Same problem here. S22. MediaOngoingActivity notification never disappears, I cant swipe it away, I cant hold to select, and the drop down carat does not work either. It's a completely useless notification. The old app-specific notifications allowed me to navigate the audio but this has no controls and literally does nothing.

Things that havent worked:

- toggling Dex options

- changing app settings 

- changing lock screen settings

- changing Google settings

- trying Settings--> Notifications-->Advanced Settings-->Notification History-->tap and hold notification--> Allow Notifications is greyed out and toggled on

Try this to start:

Settings-->Notifications-->App Notifications-->Select Show System Apps in the upper right drop down-->Scroll down to SystemUI-->Force Stop

This removed the notification but the media controller still doesnt show like it used to. I have to drop the shade down twice now. If anyone figures that part out please reply.
