Galaxy S25Can someone tell me how to check to see if my s25 ultra is unlocked after purchasing from Verizon. I pre-ordered the phone so it's been over 60 days. I just don't know how to verify it.

Galaxy S25Hey theoddjosh,
According to Verizon, "Devices that you purchase from Verizon are locked for 60 days after purchase. Devices that you purchase from one of our authorized retailers are locked for 60 days after activation. After 60 days, we will automatically remove the lock unless the device is deemed stolen or purchased fraudulently. Following the 60 day lock period, we do not lock our phones at any time." https://www.verizon.com/support/device-unlocking-policy/
Have you tried using a different SIM?

Galaxy S25There may be some indicator in your Verizon app when you look at your account/equipment. Or, you can call Verizon.

Galaxy S25It is entirely possible that Verizon disabled the physical SIM slot when it was locked and that simply unlocking the phone may not reactivate it, or the Verizon firmware only allows for a single SIM to be active. You can ask Verizon if that's the case. On the surface I don't think there's a reason to disbelieve Verizon if they say it's been unlocked, as it is their written policy that the phones automatically unlock. Are you considering switching carriers?

Galaxy S25@theoddjosh I looks like @SamsungMod provided you the information on how Verizon would carrier unlock if you bought a carrier locked device.
To see if you have a carrier device or Samsung unlocked device, go to phone settings -> About phone. If the model name ends in "U" it is a carrier device and would need to be carrier unlocked by Verizon. If the model name ends in "U1" it is a Samsung unlocked device.
A carrier unlocked device will still show a model name ending in "U".
