Hearing callers phone number in my voicemail messages

When I check my voicemail for calls that I missed WHY do I have to hear the callers phone number now? I feel this is a waste of time! Can I change this?

Voicemail is through your mobile provider. You can contact them or check their website for FAQs or a manual.

I imagine carriers thought to include that because many times people either forget to leave a callback number or completely garble it. Use a visual vm app, and then you can skip that intro.
