I previously had the Galaxy S23+. When I opened Chrome, with google.com set as my home page, I had the option to toggle the news on or off

However, I've recently upgraded to the Galaxy S25+, and it seems that the toggle function to turn off the news on my Google.com home page in Chrome is no longer available. Despite following instructions from various sources, including the most recent one I attached, I haven't been able to resolve the issue.

It's the little things in life that bring us joy, and for me, having a news-free Google.com home page is one of those things. 😁

Thanks in Advance!!

This might only have popped up this way because I am not logged into chrome and have all ad measurements turned off. Consider tapping on the news suggestions burger and seeing if it'll allow you to disable the suggested content. In the third party section you can turn off all of the ad settings. Let me know if this helps.1762524442325.jpg

Open chrome>tap three dots(top right)>Homepage>turn off homepage or select "Chrome's homepage">go back and open a new tab>"discover" section should pop up>tap three dots and click turn off.

Alternatively consider using Firefox, you can type your google searches directly into the address bar and skip the google homepage entirely.

After following your instructions, there is no "Discover" Section when opening up a new tab.Discover.jpg

I will consider using Firefox if I can resolve this using Chrome. Thanks for the feedback!

My apologies, I have an older version of chrome because I only enabled it for this topic. I keep it disabled since I don't use it.1762525023762.jpg1762525023780.jpg
