I have multiple groups set up in my contacts and it took some time to do this. The groups still remained, but I lost a lot of the members in the groups. The contact still exists in my contacts list, but now I have to go back and add each contact back to their respective group. Is there an easier way to reestablish my groups? I have a Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Galaxy S25The easiest way I found if you want to add them all at once is to delete the established groups and then recreate the groups. When you first establish a group, you can add all the members you want in the group at once by tapping each name in your contact list.
Step 1: Delete all the groups you currently have. Select the groups and then hit the trash can at the bottom of the screen. Select "delete group only". This will delete the group, but keep your contacts intact.
Step 2: Go to Groups in the Contacts app, tap the + at the top right and create a new group. Select a ringtone, if desired. Name the group and then tap "select members". Go down your contacts list and tap each contact name you want in the respective group. Tap "done".
Step 3: Save the group.
Step 4: repeat for each group you want to create/re-establish
For the record, I think it's absolutely disgraceful that they did not see fit to be able to add members from within the group settings. You can, however, add any contact to an established group by editing the contact information and adding the contact to any of your already established groups. You can do this when you first add a contact or any time thereafter.
