Galaxy S25Just got a S25 and used smart switch with my S10e. I had a contact widget that was imported to the S25 but when I opened it for the first time and it asked me which app I would like to use (Samsung Contacts or Google Contacts), I selected Google. This was a mistake. The widget would then open to the first contact in my list - a completely different person! So I tried to create a new widget for my spouse but the widgets from both Contacts apps all have an ugly, annoying little icon in the bottom right.
I hope this is updated to be able to have the Contacts widget without the unnecessary icon cluttering the bottom right.
Is there any way to get a Contacts widget without the clutter?

Galaxy S25I don't see any icons on the current contact widgets. Maybe it's because you imported an old widget. Delete that widget and select one of the current ones. Oh I'm sorry, the single contact, direct dial widget *does* have the contact app icon on it, which is kind of dumb. It also has the phone icon. I guess it's because if people have chat heads on in FB messenger, it shouldn't be confused with a chat head. Only explanation I can think of. Choose the double widget, you won't get either icon. If you remove the background from the widget, you will barely see the empty circle, or you can just add a second contact. I don't like the direct dial widget, it's too easy to tap it accidentally and dial the number.

Galaxy S25Thanks for looking but I dont want multiple contacts, just one. I also don't want direct dial. Like I said, I've tried creating new widgets from both the Samsung and Google contacts apps and all of them have icons on them.
For example, even if I go to the contact in the Samsung contacts app and select "Add contact to Home screen," a preview of the widget will pop up without the app icon in the lower right but once it's actually added to the home screen it has the app icon in the lower right of the picture. Hope that provides some more clarity.
Also, I dont use Facebook. A lot of people don't. I just want to see my contact's picture without an icon (that is useless to me) covering their face.

Galaxy S25You can use the contacts (people) edge panel and just add your one contact - no icon, not direct dial (tapping the contact gives you the option to text or call), and the contact name does not overlay the image - which, frankly, I find more annoying than any icon. Edge panel image below.
I didn't suggest that you use Facebook, only that some people do, and the only reason to add the icon to the single contact widget would be to prevent it from being confused with a stupid chat head. My sister seems to like my chat head always being visible on her home screen(s) - I find it annoying.
