I got the dreaded zooming in and out clicking problem on my S25 Ultra. After reading about it and seeing that it's a pretty common problem, I took my phone into the local repair shop.
The guy working there says I'm the second person today to come in with this problem.
He takes my phone, runs a diagnostic on it and confirms that I need a new camera and motherboard.
They can get the camera the next day, but the motherboard is on backorder and they have no idea when Samsung will get them back in stock.
Not really having a choice I agree to let them keep my phone so I can get it back asap.
After they've had my phone for 48 hours I tried getting in touch with Samsung support, first online chat, got nothing but the runaround and that there is nothing they can do but wait, can't give me any sort of update on when there might be more motherboards in stock, nothing. Basically tells me I'm out of luck and that there's nothing they can or will do.
Next I contact them through sms, after getting the same run around I get them to connect me to a supervisor who asks for the case is from the repair shop. I provide it, and they've ghosted me. 36 hours later and no response. I've sent multiple texts to the line and don't even get an automated message back.
I've tried calling but the hold times are always ridiculous and I'm at work most of the day.

Feeling really irritated and disappointed in this whole situation.

Considering today's tech on the ability to get near perfect logistics data of deliveries, etc, I would think that a big tech company like Samsung could give you an estimate within days of when the MOBO would arrive. Then the repair place can message you that it is there for you to being in your service to get fixed in (at least) a timely manner.

Another thing that is bothersome is that under warranty while the customers are without their devices, the manufacturers take no responsibility to provide a loaner device until the phone is fixed. Considering the profit Samsung makes on smartphones (and it is ridiculous, but all US sold smartphone makers operate that way), it is a minimum. Anyway, that would be the experience from any smartphone maker that sells in the US, because US laws and rule favor corporations because corporations literally have lawyers write the rules that the legislators they fund, and pass for them as corporations fund their campaigns. I hope you get it resolved fast.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds this ridiculous!!
The absolute refusal to be helpful in any way is really disappointing.
And when I get my phone back, there won't be an extended warranty or anything else to make up for it.
I have a feeling there are several people in this same situation who have nowhere to go.
I don't know who else to reach out to. They've completely blown me off

Hello NiccoZ, Welcome to the Community. We understand how upsetting it is to have to wait on repairs due to no stock of parts. The community operates on a peer-to-peer support model. While our members offer valuable insights and assistance, certain inquiries are best supported by a Samsung directly.

Unfortunately, uBreakiFix is a third party company. While they are authorized to do repairs for Samsung, they are responsible for maintaining their own stock.

If an authorized service company cannot complete repairs, it is recommended to send your device directly to Samsung. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S.: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service or by calling customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
