Did Samsung remove all of the customize options for the always on display?? I can no longer find any way to change colors, add pictures, change the clock styles, etc. Also, app notifications are now showing up in the left hand corner instead of under the clock in the middle of the screen like before?? And before you ask - yes my software is updated to the latest firmware as of this post.

Looks like we got the display assistant in the March update as a beta Good lock module.

This is a whole new level of customization.

What are your Thoughts on the Display assistant? Screenshot_20250325_204256_Gallery.jpg

I had it before the update. Download it a couple of weeks ago in the Galaxy Store!

I figured it out! Lock your phone (so that the AOD shows up), then tap and hold on the clock. It will prompt you to unlock the phone and then you can customize!!! ๐Ÿคฉ

Thank you for this, it's a big help and mostly solves the original post i made. I think someone else here also mentioned you can get to it by holding down an empty parr of your home screen and choosing "wallpapers". However, i don't see anywhere in that customize menu to adjust brightness or add a picture to the AoD like you used to be able to.

I just received the latest firmware update for my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and they removed the option to control the brightness when I pull down the menu from the top of the screen!

This is really a stupid update and i cant figure out why Samsung would do this but now I have to go 3 moves into the options to control.the brightness.

To the person or persons who decided that removing the brightness from the pull down menu really has to be the most ignorant person in history like major Legendary stupidity on a massive scale!

I realize this comment is from May, so hopefully you figured it out by now.  But, if you haven't, the brightness control is still on the pulldown control panel.  You can move the tiles around until the brightness setting is where you want it positioned.

First, if you haven't already, put the notification and quick panel screens back together by pulling down from the top right of the screen until the edit pencil is in view.  Tap the edit pencil, tap panel settings on the upper left and choose "together".  If you have already put the panels together (or want to keep the panels separate), while  you are in the edit screen, press and hold any of the tiles you want to move, and just position them where you want.  Unfortunately the brightness control is tethered to the volume control, so they will be kept together.

I do not mind the AOD adaptive brightness.  Originally, I did, but then I discovered I could see my AOD just fine, even if it is not glaringly bright.  It's perfectly fine in a lit room and dims slightly when I turn off the light at bedtime to use it as my clock.  I don't want a bright light glowing in the room, and it has enough brightness to read from the opposite side of the room.  This is my AOD:
