All contacts not showing in list

Hello, I have a quick question. I just traded in my Samsung 22U for the 25U. But half of my phone contacts are not showing up in the new phones contact list, but if I search the name it finds it but I can't see it on the list. How can I get all of my missing contacts to show up on the list? I hope this makes sense, becuase it is driving me crazy.

Could depend on how you saved the contacts i.e to phone or sim

Open the contact app (not the tab in the dialer, tap the side menu option on the upper left and tap on all contacts.
