Galaxy S24got an 24u
got a galaxy watch5 pro
galaxy watch5 pro started being unable to connect to s24u via bt so unpaired it, then found out u have to wipe(fact reset) the watch fully to get it to re-pair back up to phone (stupid),
after deliberation and trials to see if any other alternate just decided screw it and resetted the watch, and then now it refuses to pair to s24u in total, removed wearable app + watch5 plugin, nothing works, reset watch + rebooted phobe
surprise surprise, watch is able to pair up and set up fine with a galaxy a8, so issue is with s24u
no clue what the issue is with s24u and dont wanna reset s24u any ideas?
heres what ive done so far (ive tested all the avenues and talked w cust. support so here's what they asked me to do, assume i did it already and it didnt work)

Clear Cache & Data for Galaxy Wearable App
Go to Settings > Apps > Galaxy Wearable.
Tap Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data.
Restart your phone and try pairing again.
Reset Bluetooth Settings
Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
Forget all previously connected devices.
Restart the phone and try pairing again.
Check for Software Updates
Go to Settings > Software Update and install any pending updates.
Also, update the Galaxy Wearable app and Watch5 Plugin via the Galaxy Store or Play Store.
Try Pairing in Safe Mode
Restart your phone in Safe Mode (Press and hold Power > Tap and hold Power Off > Select Safe Mode).
Try pairing the watch while in Safe Mode.
If it works, a third-party app might be interfering.
Manually Pair via Bluetooth
Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth.
Select Pair New Device and choose the Watch5 Pro.
If it connects, open the Galaxy Wearable app and complete the setup."

Boot into Recovery Mode (Power + Volume Up).
Wipe the cache partition and restart.
Then attempt pairing again."
already had phone in dev mode, and safe mode doesnt let me run wearable so cant test if watch can pair
cache partition reset also does nothing
HELP ME I DONT WANT TO RESET MY PHONE JUST TO USE THE WATCH WITH IT

Galaxy S24You don't want to reset your phone in order to use your watch? Do you want to use the watch or not? If you do, resetting the phone is your only option, since you say you tried everything else. Resetting your phone is no longer a traumatic experience, as you can restore your backup. When you reset your phone, you get a clean, new operating system that is unencumbered by being integrated over an older OS and any misconfigurations that may have occurred. Restoring your backup only restores your apps, settings and other data, it does not restore your old (possibly corrupted) operating system. Make sure to backup any important data that is not included in the automatic nightly backups, prior to resetting.

Galaxy S24In that case, make a complete backup using Smart Switch. You can backup everything or selected things to a flash drive, other type of external drive, a computer or use Samsung's temporary cloud storage. It will back up everything. By the way, the app backup in the auto-backup backs up all data embedded within the app. If you use Samsung Notes, you should put the setting on to sync with Samsung Cloud. All your Samsung pass data is contained in your Samsung account and your photos and contacts are backed up to Google. If you do a Smart Switch backup and then restore that backup, you will lose nothing. Well, you will have to add any payment cards back to Samsung or Google wallet if you use them. For security, they are never stored in a backup. You will also have to reset your phone's pin/password/pattern and biometrics. No one likes to reset their phone, but sometimes it's just necessary.
As I said, if you want to use the watch with the phone, you have to do what is necessary. There is no way around it. You already ran the gauntlet with tech support, so you can waste a lot of time with trial and error, or just get on with the business of getting your watch to work with your phone. You can go try every wild suggestion people throw at you, and the ultimate result will *still* likely be to reset the phone. You should have a least one full backup on a flash drive anyway, as a good practice for unforeseen events. If you have to end up sending your phone out for repair, or replacing your phone, you will lose all that anyway if you don't regularly make a complete backup.

Galaxy S24Keep in mind, though, that the data saved with the auto-backup only includes the data embedded in an app. Any external data, such as documents you downloaded or are not saved within an app will not be. Your best bet, for peace of mind, would be a complete Smart Switch backup to make sure that nothing is left out. Doing this type of backup on a regular basis also protects your data should your phone be lost or stolen, or simply crashed. Also, many times if you send it or bring it for repair, a reset is always a possibility.

Galaxy S24A complete backup using Smart Switch backs up everything except DRM protected apps. So, if you do not want to reset your phone, your only option is to not use your watch. Doing a complete system backup is no different than transferring your data phone to phone via Smart Switch. All your personal data gets backed up. All your apps (except the aforementioned DRM protected apps), and all your settings and personal files and downloads. You also have the option of copying your personal data from the file manager directly to an external device. If this is your attitude, and I personally do not care what you do, as it does not affect me, then you will most certainly be lost in the event of losing your phone, having it stolen or just completely failing. Backing up a phone is no different than backing up any other computer. So, your choices are a) bite the bullet and reset the phone, b) forego being able to use your watch with your phone, c) buying a new phone on which your watch will work (which leaves you with the same data problem), d) doing a Smart Switch transfer to your old phone to preserve your data. The advantage of doing the Smart Switch transfer to another phone, is you get to check that all your files are intact. I have backed up and transferred via Smart Switch many times and never lost a single byte of data. You can ask @Robin621k. They make a complete backup religiously (I think weekly) via Smart Switch to a flash drive.

Galaxy S24I will never rely on a cloud back up.
Using Smart Switch for a back up copies all most everything. App setting, folders all of your screens, all of your 3rd party widgets, you just have to initiate them again.
Text tones you have set for apps. The only thing that never copies over are text tones in Google Messages.
