The previous version allowed notifications under the time on the AOD screen (which was way easier to see) and on the lock screen they would be in the status bar. This update doesn't allow that. Instead, if you want the notification icons below the AOD clock on the lock screen it shows the message preview and covers the lock screen pic.. This also allows for less privacy when opening your phone.
My thoughts- Having the icons below the AOD clock is way easier to see than having them in the status bar and allowing me to utilize the drop-down screen on the lock screen allowed for way more privacy...
I can change it to have the icons below the clock but when I go to the lock screen all of the previews are on that screen covering the lock screen pic. Before when I would go to the lock screen from the AOD all of my notifications would be in the status bar.. But now you don't have that option. If you want the icons below the clock It automatically shows the preview on the lock screen.
