"easy clean" app has taken control of my galaxy s24 ultra. I have tried to remove Easy clean by tapping in Apps; the 'uninstall' icon at the bottom is not black but grey and does not function. Force Stop does not help. When I tap 'open' it just seems to go down additional rabbit holes. When I tap on the 3 vertical lines at the lower left hand of the screen, it tells me that it is running in the background. When I hit stop and go through the above steps I get the same result.
If all else fails, you may have to do a reset and a selective restore of your backup. Utilizing Samsungs temporary cloud storage or a flash drive, start Smart Switch and select backup. Choose selective backup (or however it's worded), choose all apps EXCEPT Easy Clean. Choose everything else and start the backup. After everything is backed up, reset your phone, log into your accounts, open Smart Switch and restore your backup.
Alternatively, if you are not concerned with personal data, you can access you auto backup by tapping on your Samsung account in settings, selecting Samsung Cloud, navigating to restore, tapping it then selecting your device to see the contents of your backup, navigating to apps, opening it and turnin off the slider for easy clean, the proceeding with the restore.
Have you tried clearing the cache and data from the app and then trying to uninstall? It sounds more like Easy Clean got corrupted by malware than normal Easy Clean behavior.
