You can potentially alleviate performance issues by completing these steps for routine maintenence:
☆ Follow Samsung’s Best Practices Guide
In particular, clearing device cache is an important practice in order to clean up junk files and keep things running smooth.
See the guide here: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Tips-Tricks/Best-Practices-After-an-Update/ba-p/3200871?src=Shar...
☆ Use Samsung’s Good Guardians
Download Good Guardians and run its various modules. These modules optimize performance and can identify unusual behavior.
Download Good Guardians here: https://apps.samsung.com/appquery/appDetail.as?appId=com.android.samsung.utilityapp
App Booster re-optimizes your apps. This should be run after an update.
Memory Guardian helps clear up device memory and boost performance.
If the issue persists, it may be an issue with the YouTube app rather than with your device. Go to Settings > Apps > YouTube > storage > clear cache. If that doesn't help, clear data. If that doesn't help, uninstall/reinstall.
If none of these steps correct your problem, send an error report to Google to make them aware of the issue.
Hope this helps!

I think the YouTube started being buggy a couple of weeks ago. Several videos freeze about halfway through, and I never had that happen before.
