Does anyone know how to set the volume up/down buttons to skip/go back a song?
It was one of my favorite things about an Android on my Moto G 5G. I switched to an iPhone 14 and hated not having that option so I decided to upgrade to the S24 Ultra. But so far I have not come across that setting option.
Please tell me there's a way to set that up on my Ultra.
Thank you!

I don't think that's a feature, but it it is, it may be a setting in your music player. Song skipping/tepeating is usually reserved for buds or headphones controls.

It's been a Samsung feature since OneUI was created, and before that, we still had it in Samsung Experience & even TouchWiz era with Root! Mapping hardware buttons to do anything you want was like a core building block or a "staple" for Android since it's infancy. That's why so many people were outraged when they got rid of those horrendous permanent navigation keys that were at the bottom of every single Android phone way back. All that aside, if it's open source, it's doable.
Pro-tip: If you don't know the answer to a question someone is asking, maybe let someone else answer it since replying with "idk" or even worse, misinformation, is of no value to anyone.... Except you if you are going for those medals and fancy labels under your username this app dishes out.
Just Google it next time, you could have given the correct answer like this guy šš». Then, copypasta here in under 30 seconds š

Download Sound Assistant from Good lock and then turn on "Control music with volume keys".
It only works when your device is locked.
