So I'm trying to make Mozilla Firefox my default browser on my s24u. (Have gone through default app and Mozillas setting to make it default.) And my phone keeps making Samsung Internet the choice instead no matter how many times I switch it and disable use of Samsung Internet it won't let me keep it as default for more than 2 minutes. Is there a workaround for completely disabling Samsung Internet or stopping it from taking over? This is extremely frustrating

I did that. As soon as I clicked a link to check if it worked it immediately make me accept terms and conditions of Samsung Internet again

Clear cache and data for Samsung Internet. Long press the icon, tap the circled 'i,' go to storage, clear both cache & data. Then go to settings > apps > default apps to ensure that Firefox is set as default.

I also use Firefox as my default browser, but sometimes web content doesn't load properly. I like to keep a Chromium-based browser on my phone for those instances. My personal choice is Brave, but there are plenty of others.

Okay I did that. Hopefully it stops it from bringing itself back to default

Kind of a wild guess, but go back to app info for SI (the circled 'i'), tap the 3 dots in the upper right, and uninstall updates. Then force stop the app and clear cache & data. Make sure Firefox is still set as default.

As soon as I cleared the cache I did that unfortunately. I guess this is just Samsungs way of trying to get people to use their browser and boost their numbers

This is very strange. I've never experienced the browser forcing itself like that. Another wild guess, but maybe try updating SI to the latest version from the Galaxy Store. Then clear cache & data for Firefox, setting it as default in the setup process. No idea if that will work, but it might be worth a shot.

Try this.  Go to settings/apps/choose default apps.  The first item in the list is "browser app".  Tap that and choose your default.  You should also be able to get to the default select screen by going to the app info of Samsung Internet and going to "defaults", tapping it and selecting your preferred browser.  This should clear the default designation of Samsung Internet as the default.  If you haven't already, clear the phone's cache partition (not the app cache).  If none of that works, a factory reset may be your only option, but any of the above actions *should* work.
