The SD card slot feature should be brought back to phones

They should bring back the sd card slot! I love this phone but there no reason why they took it away in the first place.

The decision not to be able to run intensive games off the SD cards was made by the game developers.  One can still install and run simple games like bubble blast from the SD card.  With the advent of USB-C flash drives and adapters, there is no need to have an SD card permanently residing in a phone.  If one takes a lot of photos and videos, at the end of a day or week, they can offload those files to an external drive, and keep their drive space. They even make flash drives small enough to be left in all the time (except when you need the port for charging, but if you have wireless charging, then you don't have to remove it at all.)

Once again that was a past decision they've gotten better with optimizations could be more useful now. It's not even taking a lot of photos I have a s24 ultra if I use my 200MP camera or record the 8k video the memory goes quickly and having a micro SD card has a spot in the future I don't think it takes up much space. I have my work phone that a Galaxy and it's about the same size as my personal without an SD card. I've boughten a Galaxy phone for the freedom and customization and micro SD cards.

I would not get a phone w/o SD slot.
It's instant recovery getting a new phone or reformatting current phone.
Has to be a nightmare doing recovery over cell tower to cloud.
Last move of images to laptop - 26,000 files from SD card.

Exactly even with smart switch sometimes it doesn't recover everything completely and correctly. Plus there's been time I wanted to restore my phone for a quick refresh like I do with my laptop and now I have to pay for the cloud or use third-party apps like Google Drive or Photos to get a fresh start.

I bought an external SSD from SanDisk. I transferred 156 GBs from my phone to the SSD in 2 minutes.

But now if you're with a friend or family you don't have access to those photos is my point or let's say on a flight you download movies takes up storage. An SD card does not make the phone that much bigger, I do not think anybody would hate or argue a phone got bigger for an sd card, and if it does now you can add a bigger battery a win-win

You can download your movie to a flash drive and play it on your device in flight.  Same with any photos.  You assume your friend wants to see all 9000 of your photos - nothing like a captive audience.

Bro what's wrong with asking for more out of a device that costs 1k and why would I want to carry around a flash drive and a dongle to connect to my device when it can be in the SIM card port like it originally was? Hey and sorry some of us look good and people actually want to see us or the places we've been 🤷‍♂️

You want your SD card, buy an A series - or a brand that still has them. Samsung won't be bringing them back to the high end.

Well if no one asks or complains it won't ever happen. People complained about storage guess what they stopped making the 64 and 128 GB base model. People complained about the iPhone charger guess what eu forced them to become modern and have USB-C. Closed mouth doesn't get fed, bro!
